Critical connections should be checked against approved drawings and tightening requirements, while moving parts should be examined through their complete travel range. The inspection record should identify the unit, date, inspector, findings, corrective action, and release decision. Buyers should request photographs or signed records for concealed assemblies before packing, because shipping access becomes limited once panels and protective materials are installed.

Restraint verification should assess the complete passenger-protection system rather than the belt or bar alone. Inspectors should confirm anchorage, locking action, adjustment range, opening force, clearance from moving components, and resistance to unintended release. Testing should reflect the approved seating position and the range of passenger sizes stated in the operating instructions. The restraint must remain secure during normal movement, stopping, and foreseeable misuse without creating a new pinch or entrapment hazard. A factory acceptance record should identify the tested configuration and acceptance criteria; a visual demonstration without documented loading or functional checks is not sufficient evidence.

Electrical checks should cover wiring identification, insulation condition, protective earthing where applicable, enclosure security, connector retention, fuse or overcurrent protection, and compatibility with the declared supply. Controls should be tested for correct startup behavior, directional logic, sensor response, abnormal interruption, and restart prevention after power returns. The emergency-stop circuit should place the equipment in its intended safe state and require the specified reset procedure. Instruments used for electrical measurements should be suitable for the test and traceable to calibration where required by the buyer or destination authority. The final file should match the actual control-panel configuration shipped.

Stability testing should use the approved operating surface, configuration, and rated passenger load, with attention to realistic weight distribution rather than a centered test mass only. Inspectors should observe the unit during starting, stopping, turning, walking cycles, and other programmed movements while checking for excessive rocking, wheel lift, frame contact, or loss of control. The floor condition and gradients permitted by the operating instructions must be recorded because stability results can change substantially with the site. Static load checks do not replace dynamic evaluation. The test report should state the load arrangement, movement program, surface conditions, abnormalities, and corrective actions.

Buyers should request a demonstration of every emergency-stop location and confirm that activation produces the intended controlled stop without exposing passengers to additional hazards. The inspection should also verify reset access, indicator behavior, restart authorization, and recovery after power interruption or control fault. If the equipment uses sensors, limit switches, or interlocks, each relevant fault condition should be introduced safely and recorded. Staff must be able to identify the stop controls and follow the recovery instructions supplied with the machine. Acceptance should distinguish an emergency stop from an ordinary operator stop, since their functions and reset expectations may differ.

Pre-shipment inspection should compare the finished unit with approved drawings, the purchase specification, and the packing list. Record serial or identification information, accessories, loose parts, keys, manuals, control components, protective covers, and any parts removed for transport. Articulated mechanisms, screens, seats, cables, and exposed finishes need protection against impact, moisture, abrasion, and movement inside the crate or container. Packaging should preserve lifting points and provide clear orientation and handling information. Photographs taken before closure create useful evidence of condition. The buyer should also confirm whether reassembly, alignment, lubrication, software setup, or post-arrival functional testing is required.
